The nature and essence of watercolor is in its spontaneity, the swift seizure of a single impression. Through different projects we will cover most watercolor techniques, materials as well as some basics of color theory, drawing, perspective and composition. We will paint from life (still life) and reference photographs, and venture outside (weather permitting) for a plein air session – a great way to observe and capture your city. This class is designed as an introduction to watercolor to novice painters as well as artists working in different mediums or watercolor. All painting skills levels are welcome!
Although the class will be taught in English, the language of art is universal, so don’t let “language barrier” stop you from joining the class: the instructor does speak some German, and will spend plenty of time with students individually.
