Alla Prima oil painting. Expressive painting in a single session – Workshop
For beginners and intermediate learners
In this compact workshop, participants will get to know the alla prima technique and create a painting in just one session. The focus is on color, light, and a free, expressive approach to the materials. Each person works from their own template. No prior knowledge required. This course will be held in English; support in German and Turkish is available.
In diesem kompakten Workshop lernen die Teilnehmenden die Alla-Prima-Technik kennen und erstellen ein Bild in nur einer Sitzung. Im Fokus stehen Farbe, Licht und ein freier, expressiver Umgang mit dem Material. Jede Person arbeitet nach einer eigenen Vorlage. Keine Vorkenntnisse erforderlich. Der Unterricht findet in englischer Sprache statt, Unterstützung auf Deutsch und Türkisch ist möglich.

One A4 printout of the figurative image you want to paint (animals, people, objects, or landscape; no abstract images), One 20×30 cm canvas (any similar small format is also acceptable.) The following list is an example and a suggestion. You do not need to bring the exact colours or brush types mentioned. Any basic materials you already own are suitable. Suggested materials: Oil paints (basic colours such as Titanium White, Ivory Black, Yellow Ochre, Burnt Umber, Ultramarine Blue, a warm red and warm yellow) Brushes: flat & round brushes (small–medium), one larger flat brush Palette (wood/plastic or disposable palette paper) Palette knives (optional) Linseed oil or basic painting medium Odourless solvent (recommended for classroom use) Paper towels or soft cloth Sketchbook + pencil
